We can’t tell you who we are, specifically where we are, or exactly what we’re doing.
What we can tell you is that we’ve been in central Asia for several years to share Jesus’ unconditional love with Tibetan Buddhists, most of whom have never heard of Jesus. Because we love Jesus and our neighbors, we’re right in the middle of the Tibetan Buddhist world:
- fighting extreme poverty,
- tackling difficult social justice issues, and
- developing sustainable communities.
We’d like for you to join us.
We’ve got an open door to be where we are because what we’re doing is truly valuable to the communities in which we live. And what we’re doing gives us the ability to show that our faith in Jesus shapes and permeates every aspect of life: work, home, school, community.
What we’re doing takes real cash, so we’re asking our brothers and sisters in God’s Kingdom to invest US$5 [€7, ¥440] in this thing we’re doing. This money will be used responsibly, and we are accountable for every bit of it to our overseeing Board of Directors.
We have to remain anonymous since the Tibetan Buddhist lamas don’t really like us talking about Jesus, and they can be quite inhospitable when they understand that following Jesus messes with their power [read: money] systems. So the National Christian Foundation in the United States has agreed to collect and forward the funds to us. They’ve checked us out thoroughly and know that we’re legit and honest. When you give, your tax-deductible gift will actually go to them, and then they’ll pass your donation on to us. But they won’t tell you who we are.
Thanks for taking an active role in sharing the love of Jesus with Tibetan Buddhists. Check back regularly for stories of what God is up to in this part of the world.
